Our goal at Kansas City Canine Orthopedics is to return 100% of our patients to the activity they love and enjoy, whether that be leisurely walks in the neighborhood, playing with unbridled enthusiasm at the dog park, or having a clean run at an agility competition. We strive to meet this goal by having dedicated ourselves to becoming one of the most highly skilled, certified, and effective orthopedic veterinary surgical specialists and sports medicine teams in the world. Our promise to you is that we will do everything in our power to meet that objective.

OUR VISION

We envision Kansas City Canine Orthopedics as being the best vet sports medicine specialists and the most advanced veterinary surgical center in Kansas, Missouri, and beyond. To meet this goal, our veterinary surgeons provide state-of-the-art veterinary surgery and sports medicine treatments including advanced diagnostic imaging, non-surgical sports medicine treatments such as injections of orthobiologics, minimally invasive orthopedic surgery including arthroscopy and minimally invasive fracture repair, joint replacements and resurfacing, joint stabilizations including advanced procedures for CCL rupture (not just canine TPLO), tendon repair and replacement, limb deformity correction and limb lengthening, joint fusions, and spinal surgery.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

Kansas City Canine Orthopedics (KCCO) is the only:

  • Orthopedic vet surgery and Sports Medicine subspecialty practice in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area
  • Independently owned veterinary specialty practice in the greater Kansas City metro area with board-certified veterinary surgeons and a board-certified sports medicine specialist (Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation)
  • Practice with a Founding Fellow in Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery, a certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, based on the veterinary surgeon’s extensive experience and skill in arthroscopy and minimally invasive fracture repair
  • Practice with extensive experience in joint resurfacing and replacements such as total hip replacement, medial compartment elbow replacement, SynACART, and osteochondral allograft joint re-surfacing for dogs
